Organizing with Presence

Organize what’s around you.
Honor what’s within you.

Welcome to a new way of home organizing — one that invites mindfulness, is designed for real life, and makes space for lots of laughter along the way.

That’s the way it should feel when you take the first step through your door.

Ahhhh… I’m home.

At Organizing with Presence, we believe your home should be a sanctuary—a space of calm, clarity, and inspiration. Yet too often, clutter and disarray become daily distractions, pulling you away from that peace… and the present moment.

P.S. We always make space for humor and laughter - in organizing - and in life. Sometimes, the act of letting go comes with hysterical laughter, realizing you’ve held on to every phone charger you’ve ever had… Blackberry anyone? Turns out, laughter doesn’t take up much space—and it goes with everything.

Tuning into Presence allows you to reconnect with yourself, access your inner wisdom, and make mindful choices about what truly belongs in your life. In this space of stillness and attention, organizing becomes more than tidying—it becomes a powerful return to what matters most.

That’s why our approach is rooted in the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, blending the practical art of home organization with the grounding power of Presence.

Hi! I’m Selena, Founder of Organizing with Presence.

Since I was a little girl, organizing has always made my heart beat a little faster. In the margins of my grade school report cards, there were glowing little notes from my teachers about how neat and organized I was. One of my favorite back-to-school traditions was going to Ollards, the local stationery store, with my dad — carefully choosing all of my folders, notebooks, pencil cases and pens. Oh, if I had the choices little girls have today! I don’t know what I’d do with myself!

As an adult, before launching this business, I enjoyed a long career as a singer. One morning, on my way to an audition, I stood at the bus stop for what felt like forever. The bus wasn’t coming. I was late. My anger and frustration were growing by the second. Then, a line from The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle — a book I’d just started reading — floated into my mind: accept the moment just as it is. I decided to try it. After all, being infuriated was getting me nowhere — except more infuriated. I looked up at the trees, listened to the birds, caught snippets of conversation as people passed by. Everything changed — not around me, but in me. My mind quieted. Clarity followed. I adapted my plan and arrived feeling calm instead of frantic. That’s when I first understood just how powerful Presence can be.

Organizing with Presence is the intersection of a childhood joy and a grown-up discovery… Creating order and beauty in people’s spaces, and helping them reconnect with themselves - their Presence - in the process.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by years of accumulated belongings, trying to make space for yourself amid the needs of a growing family, stepping into a new phase of life or simply craving more ease and calm at home — we’ll organize what’s around you and honor what’s within you. And, of course, laugh every chance we get!

“Laughter frees you up inside.” — Eckhart Tolle

Organize what’s around you. Honor what’s within you.

Within the framework of Organizing with Presence, we offer two ways to work:

Organizing with the KonMari Method™ - by category

Organizing with a traditional method - by particular room or space

Both options are available for each of these offerings.

We’ll discuss which method helps you breathe more easily and invites inevitable laughter when we come across the random, unmatched Tupperware lid that has been hanging around your whole adult life!

And whether we work by category or by space, our sessions are always grounded in Presence.

“Selena’s approach to organization has literally changed my life. My day-to-day has improved not only in a practical way but, surprisingly, also in an emotional way.

Practically speaking, I now get to enjoy being able to find what I’m looking for with ease and the new and improved placement of my belongings has a natural flow to it. It’s delightful. No more digging through piles of T-shirts - I can now see all of them clearly when I open my drawer. My kitchen is now so intuitively organized that it takes me less time to cook meals and it’s a more pleasant experience.

Emotionally speaking, when we began this project Selena asked me how I felt when I looked inside my clothes closet. In that moment I didn’t have an answer for her, but I did feel something when I opened that door; and it was NOT good. I realized I was feeling guilty for not wanting to wear some of my clothes after having spent money on them, even though they no longer suited me. This simply made me feel bad about myself.

Now when I look inside that closet (and all of my reorganized spaces) I feel liberated. It not only fills me with a sense of accomplishment, but this whole process has elevated the experience of living in my apartment. It’s a more pleasant place to be and, this may sound silly, but it feels fancier; more adult. I catch myself smiling now when I open that closet door.

Selena approaches this process with presence, patience, laser focus, and humor. I wholeheartedly recommend her and the services she offers. Anyone who hires her is in for a transformative experience.”
